Next Week!!

So Thanksgiving is next week--with everything that's been going on this month I can't believe it. It totally snuck up on me. I found a sweet cornbread recipe today via Slashfood. I am trying it out for Thursday--instead of my Indian Pudding that only I seem to really like. And since it takes nearly a half a gallon of milk--I'll wait until it can be better appreciated. Thanksgiving MUST include corn somewhere on the food agenda. Tain't Thanksgiving without it.

The house isn't horrid disaster--so no stress on that point. I spent the other day cleaning Micci's blackhole of a room...half way there. I also need to do dishes today. (I can't wait until the kids can do dishes) Maybe tomorrow I can start tackling the baskets of clean clothes in my room.

What's truly freaking me out about the impending Thanksgiving is how soon Christmas follows...I have yet to finish ANY of the knitting gifts I am making. I lost a needle I was using for Ivy's gift...nevermind I am not sure I have enough yarn to finish it with. I always seem to bite off more than I can chew.

We did get my mom's Christmas present done yesterday--we spent a horrid two hours getting our family portrait done at Wal-Mart. Yeah big mistake--sure it's really inexpensive and a good deal...but the costumer service sucks very hairy very large goat balls. Sure we were running 5 minutes late...but we found that the studio gals had already left for their lunch...25 minutes early and weren't scheduled to come back for nearly 2 hours. Long lunch--grrr!!! And by the time we made our way back...they were all booked up. And we never did get an apology for them leaving early...and they continued to ignore us for two hours. Fun fun! Lore peed thrugh her diaper--luckily we were in Wal-Mart so I just skipped over to the baby section and bought new tights. Finally it was our turn and the very pregnant photographer scared Lorelei (J. heard somewhere that pregnant ladies scare small little girls--shrug that's what J said). We got her to calm down and we got the picture on the very first shot (sure I look kinda funny--but both_kids_were_smiling!!) We didn't want any more poses so it was all over in less than 5 minutes. Sigh. So the drama.

And we got home just in time to watch another excellent episode of Dr. Who--which is slowly becoming bollucks we're stuck in time once again! Tardis is either broken or missing--OH NO!! Still, I LOVE this show.
