Halloween Success

Trick or Treating was a success...Mic got his pants scared off a a few times and Lorelei kept losing her shoe but they had tons of fun and lot's of candy. Although Mic is dissapointed that Halloween can't be every night. "Tell me it's it Halloween today. Yes or no." (That's Mic's new thing ending nearly every serious question with a demanding "yes or no?") Lorelei was so sweet with her little voice, whispering, "Tick or Teat" and "Tank oo."

We didn't get many trick or treaters come to the house...mainly because of our scary high bushes (you can't see our door from the street) and the brokeness of our garage light. So we have tons of candy still left...hahahaahah all mine!!! While waiting for the trick or treaters, I made rice crispy treats with the new Berry Rice Crispies...really good. Red, and purple, and white treats...and that was my dinner last night.

After we trick or treated around the block we went to a haunted house. There was a line because they only let 4 people thru at a time. I forgot how much a desist teenagers...always have especially when I was a teen myself. Anyway, I digress, at one point you could hear the echoes of the prayers calling to another, "Little Ones ahead...Little ones coming." I am glad I had the kids there...I HATE being spooked.

I did Lorelei's hair up in a bunch wee pony tails so she'll look more twitchy. She looked adorable.

Our family tradition is for the kids to pick out a few piece of there favourite candy and to spend a few minutes in we at the plunder and then put into one big communal bowl to share. That way I get candy too. HAHA!!

Lorelei's method of Halloween gorging is to unwrap a candy...take a bit or a lick and then discard it and then repeat the process. Drove me nuts.

Sadly there were no candy corns...poot. But the kids did get some peanut butter taffy--those are my favourite. The rest of the pics will be on Flickr.

After the kids passed out from their sugar high I watch Halloween in the dark. Not all that scary. But it was a good flick though. That lead to a conversation with M. (we watched the last bit on the phone together) of what scares me in movies (because I tend not to watch horror flicks). Good suspense gets me...which is why I only watch M. Night movies in the day light on DVD. Pyscho torror like in the Saw movies is disturbing. And the big one what ever the did in Butterfly Effect...oooh I hate that movie...it freaked me out and I refuse to watch it. I only watched bits and pieces and never will I sit throught he whole thing. Something bout shifting relaities hits a wee bit close to home.
