Winter Cleaning

I'm mucking around a bit on my site. All the bits and bobs I've neglected for a good year or two--or more in some obscure places on the website. I added some knitting links in the front page--which required making all new graphics (the old ones were looking a dodgy) and tinkering with java script.

Of course I should be doing dishes.

There's a lot more I want to do. I am just not sure how to proceed. There is a ton of things on this website: poetry, essays, photographs, short stories (some unfinished), easter eggs, and such and I haven't looked at some of it for ages. Perhaps I should highlight a section a month--reminding everyone and myself what all is in here....besides my rantings and ravings. And it would get me to update those portions of my site that the spiders have webbed over.

Speaking of winter--the other night was very tippy it got down to 29 degrees--positively frigid for South Texas. We had the kids in our bed so we'd all be warm. Lorelei tossed and turned so much I got no sleep. Mic had pushed Jamey so far off the bed, J spent most of the night desperately trying to stay on the bed. It warmed up a bit during the day--still cold--but we did some shopping. Last night wasn't so bad--so we had the kids in their own beds--I got a much better sleep. What I can't put my head around is the depth of the kids "need" to be naked. I am chilly and still wrapped in a blanket but I can't keep clothes on the kids. They both refuse to wear clothes--they scream like I am murdering them when I put on a shirt and poof in two seconds the shirt is off.

I got absolutely no knitting done yesterday though--between shopping and yelling at the kids to stop yelling so I could watch Battlestar Galactica and Dr. Who. Recently Lorelei has developed the need to scream everything. Happy or angry--she has the piercing shriek of a Banshee. It's a stage I know--but that doesn't keep me of wanting a muzzle.
