Lost and Found

This may sound trivial to some, but I found something yesterday that made me so happy and makes me also feel utterly fulfilled. Lost patterns to unfinished cross-stich projects. Whewee!!! I have been looking forlornly for years at these unfinished beauties. And now they can be completed and I get a cheap and easy sense of fulfillment!! And clutter gone from my craft basket...and projects done and completed!!!

While looking online for designs I ran across a few web sites deditcated to ongoing and completed projects. I particularly liked this one Erica's Stitching Page. Which got me thinking in the very nearly 20 yeara of cross stitching (1986), how many have I actually finished and why do I seem to have so few to prove it? Answers follow after brainstorming.

1. I gave them away as gifts...many a lucky person have recieved them over the years. And I am sure many more that I have forgotten.
2. They are unfinished. Currently I have 5. Two that I just found the patterns for. Two currently porjects that are nearly done. And one sad to say lost in the garage from when we moved into the house. Isn't it pretty??? I really want to find it.
3. Unaccounted finished ones that are in a box rotting, waiting to be made into a quilt I was planning, but many never finish. I need to wash them and frame them.
4. I am only 26. Most of my cross-stitching years was done while I was going to school. Only a few hours a week...isn't much time to get many projects done in a timely manner.

I feel better all accounted for!!
