My pumpkin woes

As any one who reads this blog regularily knows, I am desperate to grow my own pumpkin and harvest them and EAT them. And I have had bad bad luck growing them. Pill bugs eat them, I don't transplant them on time, qilting flowers, only boy flowers...well guess what after a summer of numerous boy flowers...I finally have two girl flowers...one that already wilted and one just beginning to develop...and NO BOY FLOWERS IN SIGHT!!!!!!

I am ready to throw my hands in the air right now!!! BHAT!

What I may do is just throw a pumpkin out in my garden and see if that will grow me a pumpkin next year.

Any one have an advice? I live in San Antonio, TX...can pumpkins even grow here???
