U2 cometh

My hubby is great also because he knew not to step into the house without the new U2 album. Grin. Unfortunately I haven't been able to listen to it straight through yet. Only the first 7 tracks...which sound terrific!! Once the kids aren't at me, I'll be able to listen to it objectively and give my stars. Maybe in 18 years...LOL.

Gone are the days when I can listen to music in my room with the lights off, dissecting every sound. Not when Mic has to know where i am and make sure the tv in my room is on!

But from the frist 7 tracks..I am in LOVE. I hated All That You Can't Leave Behind...okay that was too harsh (I can't hate U2)...it's my least favourite although Elevation rocks...it was a great disappointment. I knew they could do better. And I HATED the lyrics...and hate I do mean HATE. They sounded so forced and alien to the music. It was like Bono tried to hard. And I was even accused by a wishywashy fan who regretted selling all her bootlegs when she fell into love with that hated album and made a new u2 website, (bitter, YES), of not being mature enough to understand it. It seemed I was alone in my disappointment (not counting my circle of friends--who were on the same page...they too knew the boys could do better). Anyway..this album is much better and restores my faith in my boys.
