End of a era

My happy pants...my beautiful silver pants are officially unwearable. I wore them out. Sure I haven't worn them in years and they were stuffed in my dresser...but they meant something. I actually had to peel them apart as I unfolded the pants...does that make sense? They're cracked and spotted and feel funny. BUT they still fit.

I couldn't bear throwing them away so I tacked them to the wall. Not as a reminder of days gone by, but of my strength and the joy I found in them. And I think I plan to get them framed.

I bought them in New Mexico for the Popmart concert and I wore them all over Austin traipsing around 6th street and down Park Boulevard. Clubbing or to the grocery store those pants can tell some tales.

Please a few seconds of silence for the dearly departed.
