New addictions
Apparently I am no longer addicted to the internet. I have been off line since Thursday evening...and did not get the shakes, the quakes, or the goddamn it give me back my INTERNET shrieks!! J tried again to get us up on wireless...still no success. Stupid thing. I also discovered that our new laptop has no disk drive...apparently they don't anymore..WTF? Why not! CDRs are dumb and you can only us eit once..what a waste...And we don't have CDRW drive. SIGH. And I can't transfer any files from our main computer to the laptop because it doesn't have a CDR. Just a CD-DVD drive and an A drive. ARGH.
Whatever.
Happy news. Mic got his first bike on Thursday. Yesterday we went out to the park. Mic is a total Divo and wouldn't let me take his picture..so I have like 3 Micci park shots and a zillion Lorelei park shots.
You can see Mic isn't too happy with me.
This has to be Lorelei's cutest picture to date. Family: email me if you want this pic for prints and I'll send you the file...otherwise if you print this pic...it'll come out about an inch long.

Without internet...I got plenty of knitting done. And gave up on one. I was knitting Lorelei a hat...I am 3/4 of an inch away from starting decreases and I figure out that I am an idiot who should have doen a guage swatch...because this hat is TOO SMALL.
But it's so cute...so I stopped knitting on it (can't decide to frog it, cut the yarn and leave it or finish it and sell it/give it away) and took up the Spring Sweater again. AND last night I finished the last sleeve and started working on the body again. And most knitted pics are clickable and will take you to a page devoted to it's story...yeah I should be cleaning-instead of devoting pages to my knitting...oh well.
I can't wait to start knitting on the aran sweater again...people are beating me to the finish line and I am beginning to go thru cable withdrawl.
I have also been fantasing about making a new lace scarf or shawl...Orenberg style. Yeah you knew that, but I am looking at KnitPicks for some lace yarn or sock yarn...and I am so close to buying some!!! BUT I can't--must finish other projects first!!! BHAT...I have begun...dreaming of lace...every moment I knit or sit and watch the telly...I think about a lace pattern I want to use in something. I am dreaming about a long cardigan for me that would include a lovely chinese lace panel...and I beautiful shawl or runner using the "frosted flowers" pattern. Thunk.
I heard from Craig today...well read his email today. He is doing well...busy busy and is amazed at how the kids are growing (he's visiting the blog finally). And he as many others that have been to my wishlist made a comment about the number of cheese books on there. James it's all James...Mr. Lazy who can't make his own wishlist.
Today I will probably put down the knitting and clean up...and make some cookies. After I edit some pictures of course...so in a few hours I'll start doing the chores. LOL.
