Picture time!!
Yesterday was nuts. I got attacked by a knitting bunny (making a rolled up brim cap to go with this sweater.)
I am adding a some eyelits into the cap, to match the eyelits in the sweater and because I can't stand the idea of stockinette for the entire hat. Boring! Anyway, it's gonna come out pretty. Much better than the crocheted flower I was attempting. I found the pattern on line. But I can't crochet...I can chain stitch that is IT. But I figured, I can do this!! Ha ha! I made something that look like cat sick. So I am making an eyelit flower and a row of eyelits. And no I am not including a picture of that monstrocity...no way jose!
I also filled up my new knitting basket.
I just love it. It is so handy. One compartment holds my yarn, the other holds my books, and the third I don't use and keep folded up.
Anyway, to continue...the site, Midnight Knitter, I found the pattern on is AWESOMELY amazing. She knits and web designs...just like me! BUT much better...I LOVE the design. THAT is a knitting blog!
I had to pick Jamey up from work in the smashed up car with the brand new rear windshield...I wasn't too excited. I didn't know what sort of damage could have been done to the under carriage...so I was afraid driving on the highway on a spare tire no less. But the day ran away from me. Phisto came by to give me my celtic cross stich book and some Cotton Tots yarn and to say "GOODBYE!!!" I am going to miss her so much!! San Antonio will not be the same without her wit and deviance. SOB. Oh but she better no pull a Quimby and not blog (see you're becoming a phrase Q...better blog so I can't bitch about it). I made her promise to blog every day.
I took pictures of all the things I promise to show and tell...and uploaded them this morning, first chance I got.
The right sleeve is done and I began the left sleeve...not so much more done since the attack of the knitting bunny. But it's coming along well, and it just might be wearable next year as well...although I might have to knit up a bigger hat if that's the case.
Here are pics of my new knitting bag. Now I need help, what more does this bag need. It looks a tad plain on the outside.
And the inside:
I took my brand new bag with me to HEB to pick J up. Although when I was packing everything in before I took the kids to the car, I found that the passenger front tire was FLAT again...it's been giving us lots of trouble. Not that big of a deal because we have a great air compresser, but not fun in the wet and the cold with kids in the house. I also said a prayer before we drove off, because I DID NOT what to get stuck on the highway in the cold and wet. All went well...although every one in San Antonio passed us as we were only going 50 mph on a 70 mph highway...were most go over 80. I picked up food stuffs to make my mini meat ball soup, that I mentioned before, and more beans for my baked beans. Hmmm hmmm. I am making soup tonight...yes and I will be taking pictures...first time I myself am making soup. I am having to resist the urge to Not make baked beans...hmm they are so good and I love them so much.
Well we did get home okay...although we had to fill up the tire AGAIN. And we watched the Olymics...the Russian Ice Dancers were amazing...I wish that the pairs figure skating would take a cue from the ice dancers...The pairs are focus too much on jumps and crap and have forgotten the beauty and elgance of the dance! They have forgotten that style and elgance in this sport. Oh well, I can't wait for tomight at tne women's (or should I say GIRLS..they have barely started puberty this girls)figure skating.
Well that sums up yesterday. My fingers are tired. Wish me luck with that soup.
