Meshing

I may have wrote about this before but now it is validated in the mainstream media. Although the idea came along when I was pregnant with Lorelei. We all now my inane obsession with my name (insert mass groan now)--and I still have my maiden name (whatever that means, I certainly wasn't a maiden when we got married). I have ALWAYS liked my last name (the given...not so much)...it always seemed to fit. Even though the man that gave me my last name has never figured very big in my life. BUT the name has history. AND I do share it with the guitarist of U2 (and you thought The Edge was his real name). Along with my inherent commitment issues...it took me a while to get used to the idea of being Mrs. Coffman. About 3 or 4 years.

Anyway back to the point...when Lorelei came along I was thinking about giving her a "meshed" last name...our two options: Evman (Or Evanman) or Coffans (which sounds alot like Coffins). Then I felt guilty for poor Jamey, no one will have his last name (since I gave Micci mine). I think I didn't really decide until I filled out her birth certificate. So she's a Coffman....although Evans IS her second middle name.

Whenever Murphy isn't hounding us and we can afford the court costs, both Mic and I will change our names (mine being the more drastic change).

ive considered changing my last name to norman. flagg just doesnt cut it, and ive always felt i was a norman
