Don't Like the Doctor!!

Yesterday Lorelei had her two year old check up. Her highness was not at all pleased. She didn't start screaming until they tried putting her on the scale--you'd think she was being put on a bed of needles the way she hollered.

She only had one shot and handled that better than the weighing and measuring. But she hated being probbed in the ears and nose. Then mommy had to be real mean and request blood tests (amnemia since I have it)--poor dear sounded like pen of pigs being made into pork chops. Being so young and not inclined to being poked any more they strapped her in a papoose contraption for the blood draw. I don't think she likes to be strapped down. Lorelei actually screamed at the nurse when the nurse tried to help me unstrap her--if she knew curse words she would have made a sailor blush. As it was the nurse jumped back, "I don't think she wants me to touch her."

When we got out to the car--I noticed the time...1 pm.

The fun part for me was the marathon it took to get to the doctors in the first place. I had it all planned out so I wouldn't have to rush and dash about and come to find out the appointment I thought was at 10.30 was really at 10. So I nearly passed out at the desk a half hour late. But we still got seen even though there policy was to reschedule if you are more than 20 minutes late.

Even more fun was the 3 hours we spent at McDonald's watching the kids play in the Playplace. At least I got caught up on my news and comics. Sigh. Even at the three hour mark I still had to take the kids kicking and screaming from the place.

It's no wonder I collapsed into bed at the end of the night unable to move a single muscle.
