Sleep is for Sissies

For the past three days Micci's one goal has been to stay up all night.

Now I remember doing that as a kid, but I was like 10. Mic is four. He is actually very disappointed in himself for not being able to stay up. So he insists on trying until he can do it.

BUT, when he does fall asleep he doesn't always stay asleep. He takes cat naps. So he is still awake when I go to bed at around midnight and is awake before I get up at around 8--if I am lucky--9 is preferable.

This morning he was up at 5. He said he had a bad dream about a T-Rex in the house. Which is strange because we all saw Monster House on CANS Movie night and I expected nightmares involving the house trying to eat him. Yes it is not for the young kids, BUT Mic loves being scared and watches The Dark Crystal and Labrynth with no problems--its the cheery, happy movies like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer that give him nightmares (it's the Snow Monster that did him in--nevermind we live in Texas were it never ever snows).
