Too many books?

Is there such a thing?? Of course not. If you are a bookie, a reader, someone who can't go to the bathroom with out something to read (even if it is the back of a shampoo bottle), then you understand. And you know selling or giving away your books is sacrilege. You just don't do it and it shocks you that other do.

I have three huge bookshelves stuffed with books, and three smaller ones piled with books...and I am running out of bookshelves. You see there is no such thing as too many books, just not enough bookshelves. And that is my dilemma...I am running out of bookshelves and room to put the bookshelves.

But it is a happy dilemma. I eventually want a huge room just dedicated to books...my very own library with amazing bookshelves that store more books than you would think they stored. My dream library is the one in Beauty and the Beast. That would be heavenly.

I was watching that TLC show, Clean Sweep. And they were making the couple sell 1/3 of their books...the 1/3 they haven't read in a while. Pfft! I couldn't do it...I do read through all of my books at least every 2 years (there's that many and I read fast). Every book is a friend and I would miss them and curse myself if I ever gave it away. I also could not to Clean Sweep because I can't just give things away, because some day I will want them BACK. I had a beautiful brown pleated skirt I gave away and I regret it to this day. I want to wear that skirt!!

On the other hand I just don't buy dumb things...a lot of thought goes into the things I buy. I just need to buy or devise things in which to store the so called clutter. I am trying to get back on track and organise my home again...I need to dust off my creative thinking cap and fix my problem.
