The Sick House

Welcome! to vomitting, sneezing, hacking and diaherra!! Merry Christmas!! We as a home have been sick since Friday...hence no posts. Lprelei began it with vomit from both ends all day long...yet I was still able to make 5 different batches of cookies. Then Saturday Lore got better, but Mic started at 6.30 am with non stop vomit. And all the while I am getting sicker with colorful nasal secretions and a lovely hacking cough. Mic is too sick to help wrap, which he normally loves to do and couldn't care less about Santa's emminent arrival.

Thankfully he got better for Christmas morningand enjoyed open the mountains of presents. Lorelei LOVED the idea of tearing open paper and almost lost her head. But I half between horrid and not too bad. I got a digial camera from my inlaws (LOVE THEM) and will soon post pics once I figure it out.

Then I thought it would be a good idea to make Christmas Dinner, Ham, Sweet Potato Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, and Green Bean Casserole. Yeah, by the time it was finished I felt like crap on a stick and Jamey had finally surrendered to the sickness and was stuck to the couch. He humoured me and ate a bit of the dinner and then staggered back to the couch, but between feeling terrible...I had lost my voice and gallons of snot, and being lonely at the table I managed only a few nibbles myself. So we have LOADS of food left.

Today, I felt worse this morning and J was sleeping in since he didn't go to bed till 5am because his new laptop is a SIREN!!! Actually it's the computer game that hooked him. So I layed on the couch and oozed while half heartedly making sure the kids weren't in danger. I feel better now, I can stand and think, which is better than laying passively and oozing. Not ready to tackling uploading pictures from the digi camera...I may name him Bart. (I had named my first video camera, Burt...so you get where Bart comes from)

Back to the couch with me and when we get the new laptop connected to the internet...I may start to blog a lot more...who knows.
