So you think you've got issues

When my Dad was here, I was trying to explain to him why my house was such a mess. (Focusing on finishing knitted gifts rather than cleaning up after Hurrricane Micci and Lorelei) He replied, "You're your mother's daughter." You focus on one think and forget everything else (well to that effect--can't remember the exact phrasing). Then I talked to P on the phone. Talk meandered into my love of being right and then I realised how hard core that is in my life. You know those ten questions that the dude on Inside the Actor's Studio asks his guests? Esp., What do you want to hear St. Peter tell you as you stand at the Pearly Gates? My answer? Three little words, "You were right." That pretty much sums me up.

So much for being my mother's daughter, more like my father's daughter. No wonder we always have tension--I've known this for years, but it HIT me the other day...how much I NEED to be right. We both have an insane need to always be right.

I am also procrastinating (again)...I have the itch to add to my website...FTP is finally working!!!, but damn it I have to clean and finish knitting gifts...don't have the time!!! But, I want to design!!!! Must_resist_temptation!!! I really want to make some more easter eggs on my site!!!
