Buying a car is a lot like childbirth

You always forget how horrible it is.

We are in the process of buying a wonderful van and it's so stressful!!! The sales people are great and wonderful, but all the hoops that have to jumped thru is frustrating. Mostly it's from the insurance because they STILL HAVE NOT settled the car! Argh!! We have to get a letter says thie car is either paid off or will be paid off before we can get a loan from our bank. SIGH.

AND...because this dealership also works with EBAY...somebody has also expressed interest in it. So we need to give them a $500 check to hold it...well who carries checkbooks with them nowadays...let me know...we don't that's what our check card is for...the check book is for home where I pay bills. So we are tying to do paypal...more hoops!! And hopefully our bank will settle for a letter from our insurance saying it will be paid off....since our insurance is still working on it.

Yes that was my head hitting the desk.

I've been on the phone all day...argh and I hate the phone.

Since Phil's car...heretofore known as the Golden Wreck...is in the shop (who has yet to call us back!!)...we have been borrowing a car from one of J's co-workers. It's nice little Grand Prix...older, but very nice to drive. How do I know...because I got to drive it to HEB last night...I got to drive for the first time in nearly a month and a half!!! I was so tempted to drive to Mexico...just to enjoy the act of driving.

Hopefully all this will work out---all yous need to cross your fingers--and we will have a car of our very own tomorrow.
