Pain--pain everywhere
Today is NOT happiness to be me.
Last night I went to bed with menstrual cramps. WTF?! At the tail end of my period? A period I might add, which has been unpleasant from the get go. My IUD has been so wonderful...not only protecting me from any more babies that I can not handle, but lightens my monthlys to a small trickle that last a few days and can be contained with a teeny panty liner (Pre-IUD had me using ginormous tampoons the size of summer sausages to stop the massive bleeding AND had me comatose the first day with horrid mind altering cramps--they made labour look easy). But now...it seems the period is never ending and I got cramps. I mentioned this to J and he ever so loving said (I wanted to smack him SO hard),"Well you are only nursing Lorelei once a day now--that's bound to affect your cycle." I really would have hit him hard with my bedside lamp if my cramps hadn't rendered me temporaily inmmobilised. HE WAS THE ONE WITH THE BRILLIANT IDEA THAT WE GO DOWN TO ONE FEEDING A DAY!!!! If it was up to me I would have kept on going until Lorelei wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and told me "That was enough," as she was on her way out the door on her first DATE!!
ANYWAY--the cramps turned into horrible lower back pain this morning. And when I am in pain I become a mean person with not an ounce of charity, compassion or tolerance. I took a hot hot shower hoping that the hot water beating on my back would help. Mostly. THAT and parking my arse on the couch with a heating pad attached my back.
I took a BIG risk taking a shower...both kids were awake--and while the TV could be trusted to babysit...the TV can't do shit if the kids decide to spill Cocoa Crispies ALL OVER my semi clean living room!! I nearly cried my back hurts too much to get out the vacuum. I should have locked the kids in their rooms--but they can pick locks...so that would only work in my dreams. (Did I mention the kids had a dolly clothes and diaper fight last night??--that's were semi comes in)
So, I have cramps, lower back pain AND two pains in the butt.
