Terrible Twos

I was spared the terrible twos with Micci--well it was a much delayed event....it happened when we was three--so technically it was his terrible threes. However, Lorelei decided to start hers a full month early.

Yesterday that child was into and out of everything. After a day spent with friends and sans Jamey, we went to Hobby Lobby (local craft store) to pick up buttons and salivate over yarn. That girl had her hands out grabbing everything in reach, ribbon in the ribbon aisle, buttons in the button aisle (I had to substitute black nubby buttons for purple nubby buttons) and yarn in the yarn aisle. Then she discovered how to climb out of the basket...(I had her in the bucket because she was asleep at first--Mic was in the seat), and I had to chase her in the scrapbooking aisle, plop her back in, and then I ran her over in the stamps aisle because she climbed out AGAIN. So I put her in the seat and strapped her in. You'd think I was in the magazine aisle slaughtering pigs they way she screamed.

I practically ran out in embarrassment.

It continued when we got home (trip to HEB was uneventful--Mic did run into a few people and Lorelei did open a package of Trizzlers)...Lorelei spilled two or three cups of Baking Soda on the kitchen floor while I talked to my Mom on the phone, then she peeled (which I didn't know she could do) three bananas...NOT to eat but to throw and smear into the carpet and furniture.

That was all last night. This morning she took all the wipes out of the container and pulled out all my knitting needles.

Now, Lorelei just bit Micci in the finger.

She is definitely earning her TWO minutes of time out...if she's going to act like a two year old...then she'll get a two year old time out.

It's only 10.22 am.
