He finally did it!

Mic stayed up all night...and fell asleep sometime after 7.30 this morning. Suprisingly the house was not a total mess from his overnight adventures. He woke up sometime after noon. We'll see how he holds up the rest of the day.

I must say I am proud of him. I was never able to stay up all night as a child...and I was 10 or 12 when I tried. He set out a goal and he achieved it...although it took days and his parents tried ot reason with him that it wasn't a good idea nor was it fun.

And as a parent I am SO GLAD he didn't make a huge mess.

Those who are shocked by his hours of "alone" time...there is nothing dangerous in my house--I am a light sleeper so I was up most of the night with my ears open AND the front door is locked and rather hard even for an adult to open. And he was put in his room for sleep when we went to bed...he just snuck out and quietly turned on the TV.
