Exhausted
Jamey is finally home. It's so great to have him back. Of course, Jamey wants to get an HEB store (provided he get's accepted into the special trainign programme for upper managment) in Houston. Apparently many HEB's in Houston aren't up to snuff and that really bugs him. I wouldn't mind moving--I can homeschool in Houston. But it would be really sad to move out of the house we've raised our children in. I always say I want a bigger house, but I sure do Il love my itty bitty house.
I spent the day cleaning the garage. At least it's not as hot as it has been. But still I am pooped! I still have more, but day light is fading and I am no where NEAR a trash day. But cleaning out the garage did give me somethign I have been wanting. The last name of my dear friend B, from Austin. My memory is SOO bad I forgot her last name, her husband's first name and her website and email address (those where on Fionan--and he's in peices in a spare closet). So I took some time out to see if I could find her online and contact her. And I did! Only took a few hours--in between bouts cleaning the garage.
And WHY am I cleaning the garage...well since parent's are moving and the new owners of the house bought all new appliances, we're getting a freezer, stove and dishwasher. And before today our garage was a total disaster, which was quite hazardous to walk around in (there was NO floor space). We got the freezer today and the rest J and my dad are bringing tomorrow. Hence more cleaning.
We might even have possesion of my parent's second car. They meant to give it to Phil, dropping it off at Fort Polk on their way to Virginia. But he's being deployed in January and he can't drive a stick shift (heck he can barely drive an automatic without getting into an accident). Anyway storage fees for cars are expensive and I put the bug in my mom's ear to let us have it till Phil gets back. Save him storage fees and Jamey (or someone qualified person) can teach him the stick when he gets back. And for me...well I get to have access to a car when J is at work.
Count down is on...two more days till my mom rolls out of Texas for good. They are talkign retirement in Arizona.
