Chaos
Sigh...I hate chaos. When I was a kid, ya know 10 years ago...(Ack! Has it been that long??)...maybe closer to 8...I loved chaos...it was great. My mom also thought I was touched and manic. Now, god I just want to pull my hair our because everything is so chaotic.
The day routinely runs away from me...I get nothing done...and my house looks like a hurricane hit it and looters had a go at it. I'd posted pics...but gawd I am way to embarassed.
And I know my mom is gonna email me with suggestions or ridicule or with you better get off your skinny white ass and do something about it.
On to better and less whiny things: We went to Half Price Books today...lousy selection of knitting books...probably everyone who has good knitting books know what treasures they have and aren't going to give them to a reseller. BUT, we still came out with a boat load of books. Mainly books for Mic's education...a token book for Lorelei, cheese books for J, and a nifty book by B.D. Wong for me (oh and a deeply discounted knitting calender for a buck with patterns it it).
I've decided to teach Mic his alphabet by having a letter of the week and spending time each day that week focusing on that letter. And plastering his head with words and such that correspond. So yesterday I was furiously printing letters off of PBSKids and this morning coloring them. I need to plan out a bit what activities I am going to do with each letter. Probably toss cooking activies, hands on activities, games the like into it. I don't want to work books and work sheets...unless it's to color or pracitse writing. This is homeschool NOT public school folks. If I wanted tons of worksheets...I'd send him to PS. Anyway. Mic also got a computer game and he is learning to play that...andd trying to keep Lore away.
I think I have decided to do the Clapotis...it's a shawl/scarf and it's a totally Birdwell thing. I wear scarves...that's what I do/did. I just need to see if I have yarnin my horrid acrylic stash that would work with this pattern. Shrug. But then again I may just design a lacey scarf...I don't know. I still have other things to finish before I can really think about that. I think I am feeling too hot tempered right now and it's scaring the bunnies away.
I gotta get more organised. Find a way to keep my cool, keep a clean house, knit, homeschool and still blog/read email. And I am finding very hard to juggle all that right now...but I am sure it can be done...because it must.
