Nearing the End
Last blog before we get home. Dial up has been ornery so I haven’t been able to blog or email. I can never go back to dial-up again…on vacation its okay but in home sweet home—forget it.
J. got here okay Sunday morning…the kids were overjoyed to see him again. Of course so was I….grin. We’ve been all over the valley seeing family and going to antique shops. We took advantage of free and willing babysitters and went out for a rare date night: dinner and a movie.
It is so wonderful to have J. around—I took for granted the easy companionship and support. I had a good, recharging vacation and I am looking forward to go home and getting back in the swing of things.
We are going down to Myrtle Beach this weekend for the annual “Beach Week,” it’ll be our first trip there…well J has been. I am looking forward to the beach and shopping…and of course the food.
We’re going to Smithville’s for their pulled pork and a special seafood place with fresh seafood. Normally I don’t like seafood, but I want to give fresh seafood prepared by experienced cooks. I once had some great shrimp J got from HEB’s Fresh from Ocean brand and some awesome Halibut---but other than that I’ve only had seafood from chain restaurants.
Because I’ve been on vacation I haven’t checked my stats…but J did…apparently on May 27th I had 122 hits—I think that might be my all time high. Dial-up is not really allowing me to find out why. Anyway I am really curious…since then I have averaged over 15 hits a day—for me that’s pretty good. Grin…about time.
I have a great Knitting Bunny pic I can’t wait to upload to the computer…which reminds me I am going to start a cardigan when get home…or on the road back. No idea how many projects I now have going—I’ve started 3 on this vacation. Anyway, I took hundreds of pics on this vacation. I am gonna spend hours when we get home editing pics to put up.
Speaking of which…I am going to start organizing my time better when we get home. And of course the actual home too. That’s what I love about vacation: a time to restart.
