Feeling Better

This happens everytime we take the kids to the pediatrician for a check up--a few days later we all get sick--sometimes violently. Once we infected even the extended family with delightfuul intestinal problems. This week it was just a runny noses and lethargy and in Lorelei's case a runny bum to match her runny nose.

I feel much better--I am no longer holding down the couch. House is still a mess--but now I am awake enough to actually care. My goal is to get the main areas of the house clean again so I can have a guilt free trip to Austin this Saturday for the Austin Knit Out. Yeah I am so stopping by the Dog and Duck Pub for a burger and Guinness.

I just gave Lorelei a bath. Not only was she snotty from her cold but sticky from purloined candy and buttery from counter top mischief. Lucky my kids love baths.

I finished writing up the teddy bear sweater patterns. I just need to do some copy writing on the patterns themselves and then I can publish it for my knitting group and offer it for sale here. Yes my dear friends, I am going to try my hand at selling patterns...earn myself some yarn money. So you'll be able to buy the pattern or buy the sweater itself already made. Just in time for Christmas and poor naked teddy bears everywhere.

I am starting up a cardigan for Lorelei for the "cold" weather we may eventually have this year. But I am also finishing up a baby blanket that I have had the needles for nearly a year now. I plan pulling out all my current projects so I can inventory what I still need to complete--never mind starting my Christmas knitting.

Yes for those long term readers--my house was clean now you can't tell it ever was. But I am still trying to get on top of it.
